Jack has worked on proceedings in England before the High Court and the London Court of International Arbitration, and has assisted clients on regulatory investigations led by the Financial Conduct Authority. - Bank of Cyprus Public Company Limited in its successful defence and counter-claim against an application for specific performance brought by certain former customers (Phytos Stavrinides & Ors v Bank of Cyprus Public Company Limited [2019] EWHC 1328 (Ch)).
- a major international bank in its successful defence (both at first instance and on appeal) against a Part 8 claim brought by one of its lenders. The case has attracted significant public interest and is one of the leading authorities on the construction of sanctions language in commercial contracts.
- a major international custodian bank in a multi-billion dollar ‘stakeholder’ application under Part 86 of the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Travelex on its financial and operational restructuring.
- TransUnion on its acquisition of Callcredit, the second largest credit reference company in the United Kingdom.
- a leading international hedge fund (as secured creditor) to successfully resist an application under the Insolvency Act 1986 to remove Administrators (and other relief), brought by a property developer.
- a leading international hedge fund as secured creditor, concerning the restructuring of Premier Oil UK Plc.
- a major international dredging company in an ongoing multi-million dollar arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce (Singapore seat).
