ELLA SEOYOUNG KIM focuses her practice on corporate and securities law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, securities filings, and capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Sidley, Ella served as an intern at the New York State Supreme Court and the New York State Attorney General’s Office, where she conducted legal research, document review, and case management. She also worked as a law clerk at a global law firm in Seoul, Korea, where she worked on corporate matters.
While attending Cornell Law School, Ella served as a forum editor of the Cornell International Law Journal. She received her B.A. from Korea University, where she majored in English language and literature, and international studies.
Ella is fluent in Korean and has a high proficiency in Mandarin.
