ANNA GUMPORT is a senior managing associate in the Los Angeles office and is a member of the firmwide Restructuring group. Anna represents clients in a wide variety of in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters. Anna’s public and non-public representations have included providing strategic advice for companies in addressing their liabilities; preparing companies for chapter 11 filings; negotiating, drafting, and implementing chapter 11 plans of reorganization; drafting and negotiating sale documents and requests for court approval of section 363 asset sales; negotiating and securing court approval of debtor-in-possession financing facilities and use of cash collateral; bankruptcy-related appeals; and providing general advice and litigation support in complex chapter 11 cases and other restructuring and insolvency-related matters. Anna has experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers and other interested parties in these matters.

Most recently, Anna was part of a team that obtained a major victory in Hunger Action Los Angeles, et al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al., in which the Los Angeles Superior Court entered a permanent injunction requiring the county to process and approve emergency applications for CalFresh — formerly known as food stamps — in a timely manner.
