Sophie’s litigation practice spans all manner of high-risk business disputes, including those involving breach of contract, business torts, and data privacy. In addition, she frequently represents companies in high-stakes employment litigation matters. She practices in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Sophie also represents clients in arbitrations and mediations and frequently provides pre-litigation advice related to contract and employment issues.
Sophie has assisted in conducting numerous internal investigations and advised boards, special committees, and audit committees on alleged executive and board member misconduct, breaches of fiduciary duty, and workplace harassment issues, as well as matters relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the federal mail and wire fraud statutes, accounting irregularities, conflicts of interest, and other bribery, corruption, and fraud issues.
Sophie graduated magna cum laude from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and was a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Sophie was the associate managing editor for the SMU Law Review. Sophie received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Texas A&M University.
