ZHUAN FARAJ advises financial institutions on a range of UK and EU financial services regulatory issues, including MiFID II, AIFMD, UCITS Directive, sustainable finance/ESG, and the UK regulatory perimeter under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. She has also assisted clients on the upcoming introduction of the Consumer Duty in the UK.
Prior to joining Sidley, Zhuan trained as a solicitor at a UK law firm where she gained experience in financial regulation, banking, pensions, tax, and dispute resolution.

Zhuan's representative experience includes advising:
- Stonepeak on its agreement with the AA, the leading provider of roadside assistance services in the UK and a successful insurance business, and the AA’s majority shareholders, TowerBrook Capital Partners and Warburg Pincus. Per the agreement, Stonepeak will invest £450 million in the AA through a combination of common and preferred equity at an enterprise value of approximately £4 billion.
