MATILDA DOLIN advises clients on a broad range of cross-border financing transactions, focusing her practice on real estate finance, NPL transactions, asset-backed lending and acquisition finance.
Prior to joining Sidley, Matilda trained at another international law firm in London where she gained experience in the firm’s finance, private equity, M&A, and energy practices.

- Representative Matters
Matilda’s representative experience includes advising:
- Macquarie Asset Management on its clients’ investment in £400 million in notes related to a portfolio of commercial ground leases. In this innovative transaction, the notes are secured against a portfolio of 55 ASDA supermarket sites across the UK.
- Pictet Alternative Advisors on financing aspects of its acquisition of Pareto FM.
- One Equity Partners and Buckthorn Partners in connection with their financing for the acquisition of Amey UK plc from Ferrovial.
- Northwood Investors on the Sale of 20 Gracechurch Street in London.
- Fortress Investment Group on the acquisition of Punch Pubs & Co.
- A U.S. private equity sponsor on the financing for their acquisition of a portfolio of residential loan and real estate assets located in Spain, from Banco Sabadell.
- A U.S. private equity sponsor on aspects of its €3.17 billion carve-out acquisition of a global construction chemicals business from a German public company.
- An agricultural and industrial inputs business based in Sub-Saharan Africa, on a complex refinancing of the group’s senior and bilateral facilities, including adding a €150 million borrowing base facility in various Sub-Saharan African jurisdictions.
- Underwriters and super senior facility lenders in connection with Tullow Oil plc’s US$2.38 billion refinancing, consisting of an offering of US$1.8 billion aggregate principal amount of senior secured notes due 2026 and a super senior secured revolving credit facility comprised of a US$500 million revolving credit facility and a US$100 million letter of credit facility.
