EMILY CHAZEN focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate governance, and shareholder activism work.
Prior to joining Sidley, she earned her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she received four Dean’s Scholar Prizes and the David Westfall Memorial Award.
While attending Harvard Law School, Emily was a member of the editorial board of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and served as an executive director of the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, in English and Religion from Haverford College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, where she was a Presidential Scholar.
