JO BAINTON’S main practice areas are within the real estate division and, in particular, in planning, environmental law, health and safety, and regulatory work. In the area of planning and environment law, she has wide-ranging experience in all aspects of real estate sales and acquisitions, planning, contentious and non-contentious work, compulsory purchase issues, judicial review proceedings, health and safety proceedings, portfolio management and development, and investment work including residential development and mixed-use developments.
Jo’s experience in M&A and finance transactions covers the areas of planning and environment, regulatory, licensing, and health and safety in both equity and asset investments, including hotels, residential care homes, development properties, warehouses, retail, office, and student accommodation.
Jo is the chair of Women In Planning Wales Branch, and is a supervising mentor for Planning First Aid Wales. Jo also serves on a number of UKELA working-group parties and is a trustee of Mental Health First Aid Wales.
