DAVID AZCARRAGA advises a variety of private equity and strategic clients through the process of sales, acquisitions, mergers, add-ons and related transactions. He also advises financial institutions lending to borrowers in the media and entertainment space, including music license holders and a feature film and television production company.
David participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program working for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) where he assisted with MALDEF’s successful litigation efforts related to the 2020 Census. He also participated in Sidley’s Summer Associate Program and Summer Mentorship Program. As a student at Harvard Law School, David earned the “Paul C. Weiler Scholars” Award and served as senior editor for the Harvard Business Law Review. During that time, he also externed for the Honorable Judge Fernando M. Olguin of the Central District Court of California in Los Angeles and served as a Business and Legal Affairs Intern at Viacom. Additionally, he participated in Harvard Business School’s HBX Credential of Readiness program where he studied business analytics, economics, and financial accounting.
