The Secured Lender has named Sidley partner Karen Goldstein to its 2025 “Women in Secured Finance” list. The annual feature recognizes women who “exemplify excellence and have stood out from the crowd” in the secured finance industry.
Karen focuses her practice on finance transactions, together with acquisition financing, asset-based and leveraged lending, investment-grade lending, mezzanine financing, and subordinated debt financing. She primarily represents private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and financial institutions. Her practice varies across many specialty areas, such as financings in the context of restructuring transactions, margin lending under Regulation U, cross-border transactions, fund finance transactions, which include rated feeder financings, NAV facilities and subscription facilities, and other complex financings. Karen has also dedicated time to pro bono clients, for example, assisting veterans with combat-related compensation, assisting on probate work, and a variety of other pro bono matters.
