Doreen M. Rachal has been named to the 2023 “Pro Bono Spotlight” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The special section celebrates the law firms and lawyers who devote significant time to pro bono work.
Doreen focuses her practice on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and criminal and civil government investigations, including grand jury matters. She is a dedicated pro bono practitioner who has leveraged her experience and legal acumen to bring about meaningful, impactful change in the Boston area through her numerous pro bono, community, and industry efforts. For the past two years, Doreen has served as lead counsel in one of the most significant education rights cases in Boston’s history. She, along with several other co-counsel, is defending the Boston Public School District’s implementation of an interim admissions policy geared toward creating racial equity representation for students of color at the Boston Latin School, the Boston Latin Academy, and the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science.
