Sidley counsel Genevieve Weiner has been named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s “40 under 40” list for 2022. The annual list identifies lawyers who demonstrate exceptional ability, leadership, and service in the bankruptcy and insolvency practice.
Genevieve represents clients across multiple industries including healthcare, retail, hospitality, and real estate. She recently led an interdisciplinary M&A team in preparing a medical device company for a Chapter 11 filing and navigated the company to a successful out-of-court merger acquisition by a strategic company, avoiding bankruptcy.
Genevieve’s leadership qualities are exhibited in her mentorship of other women in Sidley’s Restructuring practice and her involvement in IWIRC (International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation). Committed to serving the local community, she also maintains an active pro bono practice in Los Angeles.
