Sidley was named among the “Top Foreign Law Firms” by India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) for the fifth consecutive year. Every year, IBLJ makes a selection of the top 15 foreign law firms for India-related work, based on an analysis of more than 600 law firms worldwide that have recorded deals and disputes with an Indian connection in the past 12 months.
The report highlighted Sidley’s India team, led by Singapore partner Manoj Bhargava, for its “pristine record for capital markets work,” with clients praising the firm’s “solution-oriented approach, expert knowledge on regulatory frameworks and availability to address queries.”
IBLJ noted Sidley’s work on Nykaa’s US$715 million IPO, on Macrotech Developers’ US$550 million qualified institutional placement, on Dream Sports’ US$400 million and US$840 million secondary investments, and on its representation of KKR as lead investor in the US$180 million series F financing round of Livspace. The first three deals were also named IBLJ “Deals of the Year” earlier this year.
