Sidley partner Ching-Lee Fukuda has been named to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) Bar Association's list of the “Top 50 Women in PTAB Trials.” The special publication recognizes the fifty most active women practitioners before the PTAB as of 2021. The list is based on information gathered by Docket Alarm. This is the second time she has been included in the list, having previously been recognized in the inaugural edition in 2019.
Ching-Lee leads Sidley’s IP Litigation practice in New York and is a member of the firm’s Global Life Sciences Leadership Council. She has led significant patent litigation victories in district courts, at the ITC, the PTAB, and the Federal Circuit, focusing on electronics, software, medtech, medical devices, and chemicals. With 24 years of experience, her successes include numerous jury and bench trial wins, as well as wins during preliminary injunction, summary judgment and appeal. She also has led and/or participated in about 100 PTAB proceedings on behalf of petitioners and patent owners. Her impressive career has garnered a number of accolades. For two consecutive years, in 2020 and 2021, Ching-Lee was named the “Post Grant Proceedings Attorney of the Year” by LMG Life Sciences for her work on behalf of medtech, medical devices, and chemicals companies.
