Chicago – Sidley is pleased to announce that Evan Palenschat has joined as a partner in the firm’s Global Finance practice in Chicago. Mr. Palenschat joins Sidley from Proskauer Rose LLP, where he was a corporate partner in the Private Credit Group.
Mr. Palenschat’s practice focuses on representing private credit funds, financial institutions, hedge funds, and public and private borrowers, as well as alternative lending institutions in connection with complex financing matters, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and opportunistic lending. He advises clients on all aspects of corporate finance work, as well as in workouts and other downside scenarios, ranging from senior secured, second lien, and subordinated financings to asset-based loans, preferred equity, structured equity products, Holdco financings, workouts, restructurings, and bridge and mezzanine financings.
